BusinessWanted.com is an independent commercial platform. BusinessWanted.com does not act as agent for any buyer, seller, or adviser and owes no fiduciary duties to any user.

BusinessWanted.com may, at its discretion, facilitate introductions, support controlled disclosure, and refer users to professional advisers in its Vetted Adviser Network. Any transaction, engagement, or professional appointment remains the responsibility of the parties involved.

6. No Advice and No Professional Reliance

 

BusinessWanted.com does not provide:

  • legal advice

  • tax advice

  • financial advice

  • investment advice

  • regulated brokerage advice

 

Any information, intelligence, or content provided through the platform is for general business information purposes only.

You are responsible for obtaining your own independent legal, financial, and professional advice before entering into any transaction.

7. Vetted Adviser Network

 

BusinessWanted.com works with a Vetted Adviser Network of professional advisers who may support buyers and sellers, particularly where a seller requires broker representation, business valuation support, or exit planning assistance.

The Vetted Adviser Network may include both independent third party advisers and adviser businesses that are affiliated with BusinessWanted.com through common ownership, including:

  • Vexus Corporate Limited

  • Exit Partners Limited

 

Vetted Advisers act under their own terms of business, and any engagement is a separate contract between you and that adviser.

BusinessWanted.com is not responsible for the advice, services, conduct, or fees of any Vetted Adviser.

BusinessWanted.com retains discretion as to whether introductions will be facilitated and may refuse to proceed where it considers this necessary to protect confidentiality, integrity, or platform users.

8. Confidentiality and Platform Data

 

BusinessWanted.com is a commercially sensitive environment.

You agree that:

  • any non public data, buyer intent intelligence, listings, or platform content accessed through BusinessWanted.com is confidential

  • you have the legal right and authority to provide that information

  • the information is accurate and not misleading

  • you are not breaching confidentiality obligations to any third party

  • the information does not infringe any rights, including intellectual property rights

  • the information does not contain unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate content

 

You are solely responsible for the content you submit.

We may remove, modify, or restrict access to content at our discretion where we consider it necessary to protect the platform, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

10. Buyer Intent Data and Anonymised Display

 

Buyers may provide acquisition preferences and intent data.

​

BusinessWanted.com may display buyer intent information within the platform in an anonymised format. Buyer and company contact details are not published.

​

BusinessWanted.com retains discretion over what intent data is displayed and how it is categorised.

11. Prohibited Use and Acceptable Behaviour

 

You must not use BusinessWanted.com:

  • for unlawful purposes

  • to misrepresent your identity, company, or authority

  • to submit false, misleading, or deceptive information

  • to scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform

  • to attempt to obtain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or platform data

  • to send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited bulk communications

  • to use platform intelligence to bypass the platform or solicit users directly

  • to publish or share user data or platform intelligence outside the platform

  • to upload malware, viruses, or malicious code

  • to copy, reproduce, or distribute platform content without permission

 

Any misuse may result in suspension, termination, and legal action.

12. Intellectual Property Rights

 

All intellectual property rights in BusinessWanted.com, including:

  • website content

  • platform structure

  • software and code

  • branding, logos, and trade marks

  • databases and intelligence presentation

  • platform reports, analysis, and methodologies

are owned by or licensed to Bizworks Online Limited.

 

You are granted a limited, non exclusive, non transferable right to access and use the platform for your internal business purposes only, subject to these Terms.

13. Platform Availability and Changes

 

BusinessWanted.com is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We may:

  • update or change platform features

  • add or remove functionality

  • suspend access for maintenance, security, or operational reasons

  • withdraw or discontinue the platform at any time

 

We do not guarantee continuous availability or uninterrupted access.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bizworks Online Limited shall not be liable for:

  • business interruption

  • indirect or consequential losses

  • losses arising from reliance on platform intelligence or user submitted data

  • losses arising from dealings with Vetted Advisers or other users

  • any failure to complete a transaction

 

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • any liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law

 

Subject to the above, our total liability in connection with the platform shall be limited to £100, unless a higher cap is required by applicable law.

Our use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

18. Changes to These Terms

 

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version will always be published on BusinessWanted.com and will apply from the Effective Date shown above.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising in connection with these Terms or your use of BusinessWanted.com.
